MScM & MScF Career Connect Programme 2026

Language
English

The Career Connect Programme, offered by your Career Center, is reserved for 2nd-year MScM and MScF students.

The Programme consists of several steps leading up to the final event: Meet & Match, which will take place on Tuesday, 10 November. This event will allow students to meet company representatives in 1-on-1 speed-meeting (job dating) sessions focused on career opportunities (jobs, internships, graduate programs) that fit their profiles. Each speed-meeting lasts 6 minutes.

After each speed-meeting, both students and companies indicate whether they wish to match. In case of a mutual match (when both parties have expressed interest), the company commits to contacting the student regarding the next step of the recruitment process.

The Career Connect Programme not only prepares you for Meet & Match, but also equips you with practical tools to support your future internship and job search, including a Pitch Clinic and career resources available throughout the Programme.

  • Your registration for a Pitch Clinic session counts as registration for the entire Career Connect Programme, including the Meet & Match event.

3. Digital & PDF CV submission

  • After your registration, the Career Center will verify your eligibility and send you an email containing a link to create your profile on the Career Connect Portal. The portal will guide you through each stage of the Programme and allow you to browse and apply for your preferred opportunities. An overview of the different phases of the portal is provided below.
  • Once your profile is created, complete your digital CV on the Career Connect Portal. Companies will assess applications based only on this digital CV, that is anonymous.
  • In addition to your digital CV, you will be asked to upload your own PDF CV to the portal. Companies will only gain access to your PDF CV after the selection process, and only if they have selected you for a speed-meeting session.

4. Pitch Clinic

  • Participation in ONE (and only one) Pitch Clinic is mandatory.
  • During this workshop, organised by the Career Center, you will practice and receive useful advice to help you refine your personal pitch and prepare confidently for your speed-meetings.
  • The available dates are listed below.

5. Internship / Job Offers Browsing & Applications

  • Participating companies will publish their career opportunities on the Career Connect Portal.
  • To ensure a fair and skills-based selection process, company names will remain anonymous during the application phase. You will therefore apply based on the position and its requirements, rather than the employer's identity. Companies will also review and select candidates anonymously during this phase.
  • You can apply for up to 5 opportunities. In addition, you can indicate your preferences for other opportunities, and the Career Center will use these to assign potential complementary speed-meetings to your schedule.

6. Reveal of your pairings & schedule

  • Once the selection process has been completed, you will receive your speed-meeting schedule for November 10 through the Career Connect Portal. At this stage, company names will be revealed, and companies will gain access to the PDF CVs of the students they selected for a speed-meeting.
  • Your speed-meetings will be determined primarily by the companies' selections, with additional pairings assigned by the Career Center whenever possible.

7. Meet & Match - Tuesday, 10 November - Amphipôle Building

  • 15:30 - 16:15 | Welcome: badge collection and time to get settled

After each speed-meeting, you must indicate whether you wish to match or not with the company. It is essential to submit your matches on the same day, directly on the Career Connect Portal, to ensure mutual matches can be communicated by 13 November.

8. Results of your matches

  • After the event, the final results of your matches will be available on the Career Connect Portal.
  • If there is a mutual match between you and the company, the company will contact you directly regarding the next steps of its recruitment process.

Overview of the Career Connect Portal

Most steps of the Programme will take place through the Career Connect Portal. Once your registration for the Programme has been confirmed, you will receive a link to access the Portal and create your profile.

The timeline below provides an overview of the different stages and features available on the Portal:

The Pitch Clinic is a workshop organised by the Career Center to help you get comfortable with presenting yourself and feel confident for your speed-meetings.

This is your chance to practice your pitch, hear how other students do it, and receive feedback to improve your own.

To participate in the Career Connect Programme, you must register for and attend ONE (AND ONLY ONE) Pitch Clinic on campus. This step is MANDATORY, all workshops are held IN PERSON ONLY, online participation is not available. Without attending a Pitch Clinic, and without valid justification, you will not be able to participate in the Meet & Match.

The following Pitch Clinic dates are available:

  • Thursday, 1 October, 09:00 - 12:00 @Internef-001;
  • Wednesday, 7 October, 09:00 - 12:00 @Internef-001;
  • Thursday, 8 October, 09:00 - 12:00 @Internef-001;
  • Wednesday, 14 October, 09:00 - 12:00 @Internef-001.

For each date, two groups will take part in a 1h15 Pitch Clinic session (one group from 09:00 to 10:15 and one group from 10:45 to 12:00). Your final assigned group will be communicated at a later stage.

Your registration for a Pitch Clinic session counts as registration for the entire Career Connect Programme, including the Meet & Match event. Therefore, to register for the Programme, simply register for the Pitch Clinic session you wish to attend.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
